Meet Our Staff
Denise Gutierrez, Chief Executive Officer
Denise Gutierrez is the Chief Executive Officer of Northwest Iowa REALTORS®, a role she has held since January 2023. She brings 18 years of broad administrative expertise, including 14 years in the credit card industry and four years in auto finance. Denise holds an accounting degree from Northeast Community College (NECC).
Outside the office, Denise is active in her community. She serves on the Sioux City Community Schools Student Improvement Advisory Committee, is involved with the PTA, and volunteers as a coach and mentor for area youth sports programs.
Denise and her husband, Greg, have been married for ten wonderful years and keep busy with their two elementary school-aged daughters and the family dog, Ruby. When the weather is warm, they can often be found enjoying time together outdoors.
Heather Frigge, Assistant Executive Officer
Heather Frigge serves as the board’s Assistant Executive Officer. Heather has been with NWIA since January 2002 and does a tremendous job for the board every day. Those who know Heather will attest that her sense of humor is second to none, as is her willingness to go above and beyond for our NWIA members.
Heather has enjoyed serving in our community in many ways over the years. She has been a committee member for Siouxland Mental Health Center and was involved with the Siouxland Sleepout for over ten years. Heather has also been an active member of the Elks Lodge, assisting with the Christmas basket committee.
Originally from California, Heather moved to Iowa in 1996. She has two great kids, and five incredibly wonderful grandchildren. Heather enjoys cooking, both at home and at the office. Yes, she’s been known to bring in an assortment of cooking gadgets to the office just to whip up a little home-cooked lunch. Most weekends, you will find her hosting family and friends for a Sunday afternoon feast, which she affectionately refers to as “Linner”.
As an empty nester, Heather is often busy searching for travel deals to take her to visit family, friends and exotic new locations. She is especially fond of making memories and sharing the joy of travel with her family.
Kerri McKim, Communications Director
Kerri McKim has been part of the REALTOR® association world since 2011 and has served as NWIA’s Communications Director since 2015. In this role, she manages the association’s website, member communications, and social media in a part-time capacity.
Her background includes earning a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, working with the Muscatine Chamber of Commerce, and serving three years as Executive Officer for the Iowa Great Lakes Board of REALTORS®.
Kerri has been deeply involved in her community. She spent six years on her local school board, two years on the Executive Committee of the Iowa High School Music Association, and has volunteered extensively in support of music and academic programs in her local public school.
She’s a fan of Peloton cycling classes, chocolate chip cookies, and a good (strong) black coffee. Outside of work, you’re most likely to find her in the laundry room, experimenting in the kitchen, or watching UNI and Iowa State athletic events.
